Claire Loretta Brousseau (Boyer)
Claire L. Brousseau, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 8th at the University of Vermont Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 27, 1935 to Robert and Lucille Rocheleau Boyer in Burlington. She graduated from Winooski High. Claire worked at Mary Fletcher Hospital in dietary and the laboratory. She later worked at IBM retiring in 1990.
Claire loved spending time with family and friends at gatherings or trips to the casino. She enjoyed working with her hands refinishing furniture or building a doll house. She had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. She had a love of watching baseball, attending games for her son, nephews, and grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox fan and a cat lover. Claire always thought of others before herself including all the special care and attention to her younger siblings as they were growing up. She will be greatly missed.
Claire is survived by her children, Donna Pepin and husband John Pepin, Chad Brousseau and wife Laurie, four grandchildren who meant the world to her, Andrew Pepin, Olivia Pepin, Taylor Brousseau, and Mason Bedard. Two brothers Robert Boyer Jr. and wife Robin, Roger Boyer and wife Joyce, sister Susan Bushey and husband Ormond, numerous cousins, and 3 generations of very special nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Lucille Boyer, special aunts and cousins, her brother in law David Atkins and this past October, her sister Betty Boyer Atkins.
A memorial service will take place on Friday March 17 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 416 Church Road, Colchester, VT. Please join us for a reception afterward in the church hall. The family invites you to share memories and condolences by visiting www.awrfh.com
