Prayers to your family during this difficult time. Dave was an amazing man. I knew him from my time on Essex fire he was a great teacher. Then we followed each other to fairfax rescue. I always felt at ease and grateful he was there with his confidence and experience. He always had a smile, a hand to help and a sarcastic remark. He was a personality many looked up to. He will be greatly missed.

I served and worked with Dave for many years at the VT Air Guard, including several years when Dave was our squadrons First Sergeant and I was the squadron Chief. This was when I really experienced Dave's tireless devotion to those placed in his care, and his dedication to completing the job no matter the effort required.
