Loraine Clara Bourdeau Obituary

Loraine Clara Bourdeau, 83, of Jericho passed away at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester on Sunday May 10, 2026.  She was born in Fletcher Vermont on June 10, 1942 daughter of the late Lyman and Eva (Flanders) Deavitt.

Loraine will be remembered as a creative and warm-hearted woman whose artistic spirit was reflected in her love of knitting, crocheting, and ceramics. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—camping, traveling, tending to her garden, and surrounding herself with the beauty of outdoor flowers. A gracious host, she especially delighted in entertaining family and friends, with her Christmas gatherings holding a special place in many cherished memories. In her later years, she enjoyed the quiet satisfaction of working on puzzles, a pastime that reflected her thoughtful and patient nature. Above all, she was a devoted and loving presence, always ready to offer help and support, and her deep love for her family will be remembered always.

Loraine is survived by her sons Kirk Bourdeau and wife Debra of Jericho, Christopher Bourdeau and wife Kele of Fairfax, daughter Kimberly Bosley and husband Bruce of Essex, two sisters-in-law Eleanor Bourdeau of Barre, Helen Phenix of South Burlington, nine grandchildren, Samantha Bourdeau, Ben Bourdeau, Cassandra Bourdeau, Arthor Bosley, Jonathon Bosley, Eva Bosley, Nick Bosley, Phineas Bourdeau, Zachary Bourdeau, a great grand son Emerson Bourdeau and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Loraine is predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years Thomas Lee Bourdeau and her seven siblings, Lyman Deavitt, Jr., Ronald Deavitt, Robert Deavitt, Alan Deavitt, Kathleen Pidgeon, Marion Haire and Vera West.
