Obituary for Jacob Patrick Frei
Jacob Patrick Frei of Georgia Vermont passed away January 24th, 2023 at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, VT. Jacob was born in Burlington, VT on May 7, 2004.
He leaves his parents Jodi and Jim Frei and brother Alex of Georgia, VT and his grandparents Jean and Jim Frei of Essex, VT. Jacob will be dearly missed by his beloved aunts, uncles and cousins from near and far as well his close caregivers and friends. Jacob was predeceased by his grandmother, Patricia Mazzacane of Scarborough, Maine and Aunt Carol Hamel of Portland, Maine.
Jacob loved music, dancing, hugs and holding hands. He enjoyed swimming, miniature golf, outdoor adventures and time visiting with family and friends. His smile, laugh, and bright blue eyes lit up the room. He was tenacious, strong-willed and determined to participate in all aspects of life despite complex challenges. He spoke without words. He demonstrated compassion and caring while bringing joy to those who knew him. Jacob positively impacted the lives and won the hearts of so many over his short 18 years. He left this world a better place. He will always be loved. He will always be missed.
Many individuals and organizations supported Jacob throughout his 18 year journey. Special thanks to the medical community, educators, and beloved caregivers who fostered his achievements and joy in life. Special thanks as well to the professionals that eased his final transition.
