Obituary for Dennis Allen Newton
On December 17th, 2022, Dennis Allen Newton died of natural causes in South Burlington, Vermont. He was 73 years old.
Dennis was born on May 9th, 1949 in Burlington, Vermont. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1968. He went on to attend the University of Vermont where he graduated in 1973 with a degree in Education. After graduation Dennis taught math at So Burlington Tuttle School until 1979. He then worked at IBM in quality control until 2002.
Dennis was passionate about remote-controlled airplanes and gliders, do-it-yourself projects and was very involved in coaching of his sons’ sports teams as they grew.
Dennis is survived by his children, Joshua Newton and Adam Newton (Jessica), and grandchildren Alexis, Seth and Lisa Newton, and step-granddaughter Ahshanna Gaudette. Dennis is also survived by sisters Brenda Calcagni and Paula Bennett (Gordon) and brother Gary Newton (Laurie), and several nieces and nephews. Also by his former wife Sally Newton.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned.
