Obituary for Nancy J. (Luck) Edwards

Nancy J. (Luck) Edwards passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Colchester, Vermont. Nancy was born in Burlington, Vermont on March 12, 1936. Nancy graduated from Cathedral (Rice) High School in 1954 and married (SFC, Ret.) Merritt A. Edwards in 1957. Together they traveled the world as a military family. Nancy (or "Ma" as everyone called her, her children, their friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren alike) was a full time mother and wife and also worked in several nursing homes, hospitals and with the VNA as a nurses aide.

She leaves behind her daughter Sue A. (Edwards) Tatro and her husband, Bob, her son, William B. Edwards and his wife Thelma, her son, Michael Edwards and his wife Marie, her son Eric D. Edwards, her son James P. Edwards and his wife Stephanie, her daughter Kathy E. Edwards, daughter in-law Sheila Edwards. Her grandchildren Carrie Tourville, Robert W. Tatro, Ryan Edwards, Michael Edwards, Christopher Edwards, Kelly Jean Morrill, Dawn Marie Edwards, Cody Allen Handy, Nicholas Torres, Cory Edwards, Steven Torres, Clifford Torres, Michael Snow (Jr.), Joshua Snow, Adam Snow, Olivia Duncan, Sydney Duncan, and many great grandchildren. Ma deeply loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and they will miss her greatly. Nancy is also survived by her brother Michael Luck and his wife Barbara Wilson, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Nancy was predeceased by her sister Rosemary Luck, her parents William and Mary (Leddy) Luck her husband Merritt A. Edwards, her son Merritt C. (Chris) Edwards and her grandson Andrew J. Edwards.

Very special thanks to her grandson, Joshua Snow who diligently and respectfully helped care for Ma during her time of need, Visiting Nurses Association, UVM Health Network Hospice care workers and A W Rich Funeral home.

According to Nancy’s wishes there will be no visiting hours. A graveside memorial service will be held for the family at a date and time to be announced.
