I had the pleasure of meeting Bob just once on February 26th, 2018. Bob and I talked for about a half hour, during which time he touched me with his candor, humor, warmth, and his endearing (yet well-hidden) positivity. I could go on about Bob’s affect on my life, but I believe that his own words put it best. He told me (transcribed from an interview): “[If you have kids] made sure you tell them you love them every day. You text them you love them, whatever it takes. Because there are no guarantees … There's no guarantees you're coming back through the door or I'm coming back for the door.” Rest in peace Bob, your support for those around you will be missed.
