Ed Hockenbury

I had the privilege of working wth Rita for 17 years at Essex High School. She was the person in the building who knew the answer to everyone’s questions, and she was also patient, kind and professional. Rita cared about the students and staff, and she had a lasting and enormously positive impact on the school and the many lives she touched over the years. I have fond memories of working with Rita, and of seeing her at games when my son played against her grandsons. It was clear that her family meant the world to Rita and I always enjoyed when she would beam with pride talking about her grandchildren. I will miss Rita, and I would like to express my condolences to Wendy and her wonderful family, and to Rita’s siblings on your loss.
