Edward George Benoit Jr.
Edward G. Benoit Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep On May 14, 2017 at the VNA Respite House after a long, hard fight with cancer.
Ed was a Master Painter by trade. He was also a chef at various restaurants. Ed loved animals and they loved him right back. It was nothing for him to climb a tree to save a squirrel or swim a canal to save a Cormorant, twice. He played hard and had a heart bigger than he let on. He would help anyone who needed it. Ed was known to bring a homeless man home and feed him, then send him on his way with blankets, pillows and a few bucks in his pocket. This was a side of him that only a very few select people knew. He loved his family fiercely. Ed was a man of very few words but, if he had 2 worlds he would have given you one. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ed was predeceased by his father, Edward G. Benoit Sr. and his mother Beningna (Carino) Benoit. He was also pre deceased by his brothers Kenneth Benoit and Michael Benoit and his sisters Sharon Benoit and Yvonne Benoit. Ed was survived by his 4 children, Jason Benoit, Aja Desmond, Zachary Desmond and Chad Lord. He is also survived by his brothers Darryl Benoit, Anthony Benoit and Lenny Benoit and his sisters Amy Benoit and Susan, his sisters-in-law Patrica “Pumpkin” Benoit and Ruth Benoit. Ed also leaves behind Jada and their dog Tanner and Jada's daughter, Shayna Benjamin along with some very special friends, Chris “Topher” and PJ Fanning, Bill and Joe, and Redd. All of who played a huge role in caring for Ed and helping out. We couldn’t have done this past year without you all. Much Love and blessings.
